Award for our graduate Nina Rössling
What began as a pre-study internship for Nina Rössling led to an outstanding degree in 2019 - with a grade of 1.1, she is one of our "top VIPs". During the "Night of the Graduates" on 22 November 2019, she was honoured for the best bachelor thesis in the technology department and at the same time as best student in information technology.
The topic of her award-winning bachelor thesis is: "Use of a Camera-based Augmented Reality Assistance System for the Detection and Tracking of Moving Objects". She examines the feasibility of an assistance system for avoiding traffic collisions that uses the approach of a more far-sighted camera-based system. The focus of this exciting project is on the distinction between self-motion and external motion as well as the proper identification and highlighting of dangerous objects. The versatile configurability and expandability also allow the application to be developed further and specialised for future projects.
We are very pleased that the dual study program at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) has once again proven to be a valuable concept. Nina Rössling can really take pride in her achievement - VIPCO and DHBW are very proud of her and congratulate her sincerely. We wish you good luck and success for your future, dear Nina!
